In 1998, thirteen Episcopal churches in the St. Louis area joined together with the help of the Bishop to our first Habitat home along with the Jackson family who took ownership of the house when it is built. More than 350 volunteers from the churches signed on to work on the project. The construction began on Saturday, August 29th, 1998, and continued on Saturdays, excluding holidays, until it was completed, with the dedication held February 13, 1999.

On June 26, 1999 we began the process of building our second Habitat home. It was completed on November 6, 1999 and dedicated on December 18.

In June, 2000, sixteen churches embarked on building a third Habitat home and dedicated it on November 18.

In August, 2001, thirteen churches, in partnership with the Citigroup units Citimortgage, Travelers Insurance, and Salomon Smith Barney began a fourth home in as many years. The home was completed just in time for Christmas.

In July, 2002, the Episcopal churches and Citigroup began yet a fifth house, this time in the city of Wellston. The home was dedicated on November 16.

Our sixth Habitat house, also in conjunction with Citigroup, was constructed in the Hillsdale neigborhood, beginning in May 2003, and was dedicated on August 23.

July 10, 2004 saw the kickoff of an eight day blitz that started the construction of our seventh Habitat home, in the JeffVanderLou area of Saint Louis. This was another cooperative program with Citigroup, and included another eight week period of Saturday work. The dedication was held on September 18.

Our eighth Habitat home was dedicated on October 8, 2005, after a 16 week build period in the city of Hillsdale.

Our ninth Habitat home saw a return to the Jeff VanderLou area and was dedicated on November 18, 2006.

2007's build, our tenth Habitat home, had us building in the Mark Twain neighborhood and was dedicated on July 27.
